  • if you're a small, independent direct sales company, you need to keep track of your income and expenses- the difference is your profit. You don't create invoices or need to track individual transactions. I developed a spreadsheet based system called Profit Pal which can be modified to suit your particular business. Cost? $20 as is, or customized for you based on an hourly rate.
  • Quicken Cash Manager or Home & Business are suitable for some types of small businesses
  • Others need a more robust financial system like QuickBooks. I have a very deep understanding of this product because  I spent 7 years testing and project managing at Intuit. Let me help you.
